Limited Edition Supra Stubb's Skytop: SXSW Edition

Check out the latest limited edition Supra shoe collaboration with Stubb’s Bar-B-Q for the SXSW music festival. Supra has grown to be a footwear power house and now they are just showing everyone they can do just about anything by collaborating with a BBQ sauce.

Supra Footwear wanted to drop another shoe in the 413 series and SXSW was the perfect occasion. Partnering up with Spin Magazine and Stubb’s BBQ, Supra is proud to present the Stubb’s Skytop. The Skytop takes its name from one of the best places to eat and see live music in Austin, Texas and takes its look from their world famous barbecue sauce. To coincide with this release, they have created a special edition package that will only be sold at Stubb's Bar-B-Q this Friday in Austin, Texas (address below). This special edition package will include a pair of Stubb's Skytops, a 2009 SXSW apron, a bottle of Stubb's sauce, all inside a handmade wooden numbered box that is branded with the 2009 SXSW seal. So the Fantasy Factory is by far one of my favorite shows, I mean who wouldn't want to be paid to live out the most ridiculous fantasies. Dyrdek dressing up as the Happy Star plus the 80's beat playing in the back ground is a bit weird, but whats crazy is the dude nearly kills himself in this suit. I don't know whether to laugh or just say maybe he took it a step too far, but in any case the man lives and the hilarity will ensue.

Karmaloop CEO Greg Selkoe visits the Whitehouse

Commercial Mix is a big fan of Karmaloop and recently Karmaloop CEO Greg Selkoe was invited to the White House this past Friday along with 24 other top young business leaders and entrepreneurs under 35 in the nation. The group met for two hours with senior White House officials from: The Office of Public Liaison, Intergovernmental Relations, National Economic Council, Office of Energy and Climate Change, Domestic Policy Council, and New Media. They were briefed by each of these government agencies on the Obama administration's new policies, plans for progress, and steps being taken toward economic recovery. The White House expressed their desire to enlist the help of the young and the next generation of business leaders in helping contribute ideas and support for economic recovery and to help spread the word about their administration's desire to be open to new ideas, accessible, and transparent.

It is a time for change and the creative and successful young generation should be tapped as a resource; we got to be doing something right. Way to hold it down Greg.

SHORTS: Insight Retro Stud Mid Boardshorts - $55

Neon colors are trending and Insight has a nice boardy with neon colors. The color choice is good because they avoided pink. I think when you throw pink in the mix it can come off a little too feminine. The cut is real nice too.
