Cut&Paste Digital Design Global Championships This Friday

After 16 competitions in 16 cities all around the world, The Cut&Paste 2D Digital Design Global Championships sponsored by 55DSL is finally here!


On October 16th Cut&Paste graphic experts, with the help of 55DSL Creative Director Andrea Rosso, will select the Cut&Paste Global Championship winner from the 2D Competition. The winner of this competition has the chance to design a 10.55 t-shirt exclusively for 55DSL to be sold in flagship stores around the world. Also, back in June, 55DSL selected Calvin Kwok as the 2D Design winner from the Cut&Paste Hong Kong event which allowed him to design a 55DSL capsule collection that will be sold exclusively on yoox.com this Fall. Match Up

The main piece here is the Orisue Elliot Jacket, which is another piece that stood out from Orisue Fall 2 delivery. I like layering a crew underneath the jacket and the RVCA Romero is one of my favorite jean styles in the RVCA line because of it's comfortable slim fit. The DC Admirals dropped at pickyourshoes.com and it helps carry the red color detail through this match up. The finishing piece is the new Nixon Chronicle and although everyone is banging out the digital time pieces these days, sometimes a classic analog is the way to go. The oversize gasket crown with the stainless steel face makes this classic time piece modern.

55DSL Fall Winter 2009/10 Collection

Annie sent this over and from the looks of it, 55DSL step out of the box for Fall/Winter. These aren't the colors you would come to expect for this season, but then again with the 80's revival who would know. The group over at 55DSL even threw in some light washed vintage denim. Needless to say this collection is pure fun with their selection of colors and prints. Their lookbook reminds me of my good old days in college.

PEACOAT: Orisue The Donovan Peacoat - $130

This is one of my favorite pieces I saw in the look book. What I appreciate from Orsiue is their detailing whether it be patches, embroidery, or brand badges. In this case the "For The Hungry" embroidery underneath the collar is nice hidden touch. The fit is good, not boxy at all and the length is just right.

Specs: The Donovan Peacoat is made from 60% wool, 40% polyester, and features a double breasted button-down front, a large collar with "FOR THE HUNGRY" embroidered on the inside, logo patches on both sleeves, two side pockets, and an inside pocket.
