CLIP: NEFF Fall/Winter 2011 LookBook

Here is a sneak peek into the growing line from our friends at NEFF. What I love about it is how they take the current trends and put their own twist on it. They don't back away from color or fun graphics.

GIFT GUIDE: Last Minute Ideas

1. 10 DEEP Rugby Coach's Rugby - $80
Buy it: http://karmaloop.com/Products.aspx?ProductID=122830&VendorCode=10D

I’ve been waiting for someone to make a rugby that would please the streetwear buyers and this is it! Polo has been making these for a long time and while they are decent they often fall more on the preppy side. 10 Deep steps up and knocks this one out of the park. This is certainly on my wish list!

2. THEORY Elton Sportcoat - $595
Buy it: http://www.theory.com/ELTON/A0671121,default,pd.html?
dwvar_A0671121_color=M5R&start=5&cgid=mens-sportcoats

This certainly wouldn’t be my gift guide without a blazer from Theory. Theory blazers fit perfectly off of the rack therefore they don’t need tailoring so paying the extra scratch is worth it. Theory using superior materials and the craftsmanship is top notch. Pick one up and you’ll see what I mean.

3. Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch - $250
Buy it: http://www.michaelkors.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod4760009&parentId=cat7501&masterId=cat4801&index=17&cmCat=cat000000cat4801cat7501

Michael Kors continues to expand its watch collection. They make solid timepieces at a decent price, the watches have a nice weight to them and the chicks dig ‘em.

4. Incase x Ipod Touch Chrome Slider Case - $35
Buy it: http://www.goincase.com/products/detail/chrome-slider-case-cl56529/2

Since I am a blackberry guy, I would cop the iPod Touch and pretend I was one of the cool kids. I love being able to customize my stuff, and this would be a great gift (wink wink). You can get the iPod touch engraved and also get a cool case to house it. I would probably opt for the gold or black case. Get these as a gift for the special friend and they’ll be pleased, guaranteed!

5. 10 DEEP Snapback 1995 Snapback Hat - $36
Buy it: http://www.karmaloop.com/Products.aspx?ProductID=122851&VendorCode=10D

The snapback continues its resurgence and 10 Deep finally gives us their take. I love the Roman numeral hit; it provides a fresh take on a classic piece of head gear. Get with it!

6. GOURMET QUADICI - OLIVE/BLACK - $85
Buy it: http://gourmetinyourface.com/#/collection/fall-2010/quadIci-gourmet-fall2010/quadici-oliveblack.html

I own the triple black version of the Quadici. I’ve rocked them with blazers, shorts and jeans. I’ve even worn them with a suit! The olive green colorway gives it more of a rugged feel and will stand out more. They are completely waterproof and have a custom molded foot bed for added comfort. Gourmet hit a homerun with these.

7. J. Crew Jaspe Cotton T-Shirt in Marled Charcoal - $36
Buy it: http://www.jcrew.com/mens_category/polostees/jaspe/PRDOVR~13259/13259.jsp

This is my favorite shirt by far. The price point may seem pricey but trust me this shirt delivers. It is really versatile, it’s heavy enough to dress up underneath a blazer and light enough to wear with shorts. Cop it and let me know what you think!

8. Converse OX All Leather Slim - $65
Buy it: http://www.converse.com/?CSID=44_kwid/#/products/Shoes/ChuckTaylor/113939

Sometimes we all get a bit ahead of ourselves. I like to take it back to the classics. This Converse colorway is probably my favorite. I have purchased them 5 times over. But now Converse has put a twist on them by slimming down the sole and giving it the all leather treatment. The leather is a nice upgrade from the canvas as it will be easier to clean.

GIFT GUIDE: KNITS

Knits are growing in popularity and a lot of brands are lifting the level of knits in their collections. Here are a couple of solid pieces to consider.

SLVDR is one of my favorite knit brands because of all the details they throw on their pieces. The Boulder Shirt has great elbow patches and the front and back yoke contrast is nice. If you think that is a little too flashy, the Dunbar is a clean stripe knit with a nice neck gusset detail. Notice the body is the backside of the fabric and the gusset is the front side. The Fyasko Ragland is a great basic with a contrast pocket and sleeve. I had to throw in a Vans piece to represent and the Occulta is a comfortable knit hoodie with a henley neck mixing casual and fashion trend together.

1. SLVDR The Boulder Shirt - $40

CLIP: NOOKA SiliconeZone - Bread Pudding

So a little while back we posted that NOOKA changed their packaging to cook grade silicone. Check out this first recipe installment from NOOKA by using the new packaging. Not only are you getting a dope time piece, but an extremely versatile cooking vessel. No need to buy that shit off QVC.

Super creative and fun.

TEES: NEFF x Far East Movement Like A G6 - $24

NEFF teams up with another solid music act. I like the little remix on the NEFF logo to match Kevnish.

KICKS: PF Flyers Holiday Center Hi

The Center Hi shoe brings new colorways in black leather with red trim and dark red leather with black laces for Holiday 2010.
Originally released in 1953, the PF Flyers Center Hi sneaker is a versatile, vulcanized mid-century basketball classic. With a signature vertically ribbed toe guard, diamond-patterned outsole, and posture foundation insole, this shoe brings old fashion kicks to the court.

Interchangeable hoods = dope.

KICKS: New Balance Holiday 574

For Holiday 2010, New Balance introduces two new colorways, grey/red and navy/red to the classic 574 silhouette.
The 574’s characteristic comfort is further evolved with the addition of modern technologies including: Encap midsole constructed of polyurethane that provides maximum stability and durability for all day comfort and wear, a full strobel-lasted footbed and lowered EVA and rubber durometers yielding added shoe flexibility and a softer all-over feel, a layer of Abzorb for maximum cushioning, high density PU foam sockliner resulting in more effective moisture management and an overall decrease in total weight.

SHADES: Nooka Glow-in-Dark Mercury

Combining the success of Nooka’s first collection of modern eyewear and the glow in the dark zub, creates their very first glow in the dark Mercury. The sleek cutting edge design really radiates when the lights are off.

The polymer injected frames make the Nooka Mercury sunglasses light- weight yet durable with matching rubber nose-pieces and ear guards for added comfort. The blue lenses with silver mirror finish provide excellent sun and UV protection, while ensuring a high level of color and contrast acuity. This combination of materials coupled with the Nooka design results in a playful yet sophisticated new take on eyewear.

Buy it: http://www.disneystore.com/vinylmation-vinylmation-urban-4-series-figure-3/mp/1266265/1000828/
I have gotten a little obsessed with this toy. Disney has commissioned several artists to reinterpret the iconic Mickey character. What makes it even more interesting is that each box is a mystery, so you don't know which design your are going to get.

I include socks on every stocking stuffer guide and this year Benny Gold's world famous argyle takes the prize.

GIFT GUIDE: TOP 5 Under $30

1. Curren$y Pilot Talk 2 - $9
This is currently my “house” music. If any of guys come over (you are all welcome by the way), this is what I would be playing. The instrumentation is crazy and it just sets the mood. Nothing too hard but you can definitely vibe to it. Give this to the music fan that is eclectic in his/her musical taste.

Buy it: http://www.amazon.com/Pilot-Talk-II-Curren-y/dp/B00474AC2G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1290475064&sr=8-1

2. UNDFTD PLAY DIRTY BAT BOTTLE OPENER - $12
I am a big fan of subtle keychains. Sometimes I go without one if I can’t find a cool alternative. This one from UNDFTD would definitely suffice and it doubles as a bottle opener. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Buy it: http://cart.undftd.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=876

3. TOPMAN BLACK BRUSHED BOARDER SCARF - $24
Cool scarves are usually abnormally expensive. Here is the exception. I am feeling the color palette on this one, the black and gray keeps it masculine while the red gives it a nice pop. Cop it!

Buy it: http://us.topman.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33059&storeId=13051&productId=2120212&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=207593&parent_categoryId=207587&sort_field=Relevance&pageSize=20

4. THE HUNDREDS MOON T-SHIRT - $30
This is dope, a nice play on Pink Floyd’s classic. It’s not a super crazy graphic tee so I would love it and you should too. Check it out…

Buy it: http://shop.thehundreds.com/p-939-moon-t-shirt.aspx

5. J. CREW Casual boot laces- $4
This is the perfect way to either add a pop to some new boots or to spice up some old boots. For only four bucks, you can’t beat that!
