Stopped by the show and met up with a few friends. I cruised by the Coalatree booth to check out what the fellas from Colorado are working on. They have some ridiculous outerwear pieces on deck for Holiday that I will go into more detail when I post up their Sit Down.
I also stopped by the Rook booth and had a good chat with Joe and Jon. Rook is expanding their line to include cut and sew. They have bottoms, baseball tees, and some dope snap backs, but their bread and butter are still graphic tees, which if you ask me are the best in the industry.
The horizontal woven stripe trend has now disappeared. Camo is still a focus for most brands as well as baseball jackets. Outerwear was also prominent through out the show. As I commented on my 2011 recap many lines look the same and from what I saw, 2012 will be no different. This could be attributed to the state of the economy as it looks like brands don't want to take big chances risking losing business because they are too forward. I do anticipate that as the economy turns around we will begin to see brands take chances and get away from the current trend which has become a bit predictable.
