RECAP: TRANSMISSION LA: THE AUDIO - VISUAL CLUB

Checked out the Mike D curated TRANSMISSION LA: THE AUDIO - VISUAL CLUB exhibit at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA this past weekend.  The exhibit was an audio visual experimentation and it definitely blew my mind.  The pictures do not do it justice, especially the Ben Jones installation.

RECAP: Sesame Street presented by NEFF and The Seventh Letter

Stopped by the Known Gallery to check out the Sesame Street exhibit presented by NEFF and The Seventh Letter benefitting the City of Hope Department of Pediatrics.  Some of the best street artists were tapped to put their interpretation on the notable characters of Sesame Street.

The exhibit put a smile on my face because it was fun to see the our generation's take on these characters we grew up with.  I posted some shots of my favorites below.

TIME PIECE: UNIFORM WARES 100 Series - $160

I have been blasting Uniform Wares for some time, so it is nice to see it get more press recently from GQ and the Beast.  It is also good to find a local shop that have these bad boys in stock.  What I have always liked about Uniform Wares is the clean minimalist design that seamlessly goes with any outfit.  Although very simple, it is so unique and not something you have seen before.  With the ever growing popularity of the analog time piece, this is a perfect modern update.

MATCH UP 4/12

Shout out to Michael over at Acropolis for landing his line on Kazbah.  Had to give some love and included the POWER snapback in this MATCH UP.  This is a classic look, complimented very well by the snapback and the HEX watch band.  I threw this in because I just picked up the brown leather band from their Spring collection.  It is one of the coolest things I own.

EVENT Neff & The Seventh Letter Present: Sesame Street

MATCH UP 4/11

Where do I start because this MATCH UP has all of my favorite brands.  Everybody and their moms know that I am obsessed with the Gourmet Quadici and the new color block colorways for Spring are insane.  The expanded Rook line of headwear and cut & sew is starting to drop, so I had to give some love.  Red is a prominent color for Spring and SOP put together some solid wovens like the William SS woven below.  What better way to ground the whole thing with none other than camo.

SNAPSHOT: MARCH 2012

Lots of red popping up in March. Knits dominate whether it's a henley, crew neck, raglan, baseball tee, or tank. My current brand right now is Loser Machine, they definitely have some of the best graphics in the game right now.  Summer is around the corner, but the fleece varsity jacket is still as strong as ever.  Make sure to cop one.
